LONDON/NEW YORK: Classic Media has firmed up a multi-year broadcast deal with Germany's KI.KA: Der Kinderkanal for the tween series My Life Me.
The 52x11-minute animated series has sold to a number of other territories as well, including Canada (TELETOON), France (France Télévisions and Canal J), Asia (Disney), Spain (TV3), Korea (EBS), Norway (NRK), Poland (Canal Plus) and Portugal (Canal Panda). The story follows four 13-year-olds struggling through the ups and downs of teen life. CarpeDiem Film & TV and Frog Box are producers for the series.
“We are thrilled to have partnered with such a prestigious platform as KI.KA for My Life Me,” said Chloe van den Berg, the executive VP of international at Classic Media. “The deal highlights the enthusiasm and momentum behind this new tween series, that will be launched with a fully interactive companion website in place, featuring outrageous out-takes, music videos, and much more.”

october 5, 2010- Mipcom: CarpeDiem coproduira avec l’Espagne
Dans le cadre du lunch thématique sur l’industrie de l’animation espagnole tenu lors du MIP Junior, Enne Entertainment Studios et Imira Entertainment ont annoncé une coproduction avec la société québécoise Carpe Diem Film & TV.
Les trois partenaires feront équipe pour livrer «Escape Hockey», une série d’animation de 26 épisodes de 26 minutes. La comédie de science-fiction bénéficiera ainsi d’un traité de coproduction entre le Canada et l’Espagne, a fait savoir Guillermo Velasco d’Enne en entretien avec Cine y Tele.
Destinée à un public âgé entre 6 à 12 ans, la série «Escape Hockey» est un mélange de comédie et d'aventure spatiale racontant l'histoire de Dan, un jeune homme enlevé avec ses amis sur une planète-prison appelée Plutonium.
La série sera produite en deux versions, une destinée à la télévision conventionnelle et l’autre pour un public interactif grâce au format innovant Watch & Play, un système qui permet au spectateur de regarder la série et de jouer en même temps avec des mini-jeux intégrées dans chaque chapitre.
La production entrera en chantier au début de 2011.
